Who isn't getting ready for the onslaught of this summer's movies? It seems the ball gets rolling early with the release of Ghost Rider. At first I wasn't excited about the movie, but after watching the trailer about 3 dozen times, I'm pretty psyched to watch it. So naturally what happens? I was granted permission to play the CANCELLED version of Ghost Rider on the PlayStation!!! I was told Ghost Rider used the Skeleton Warriors engine before hand. I remember Skeleton Warriors as being a tough 2D action game that had very good graphics for an early PlayStation game. I got excited when I heard this. Then I sat down and gave Ghost Rider a whirl. First off, the chain mechanics are spot on. Whipping and whirling your chain was fluid and easy. As I progressed through the level I immediately compared the experience to Castlevania, which wasn't released on the PlayStation for a few more years. I think the gameplay could have given Castlevania a run for its money! For one thing, Ghost Rider has 3D rendered backgrounds which would allow the character to go around corners and go in and out of areas easily. Anyhow, the demo was actually pretty kick ass for not even being close to the alpha stage. It really sucks that the game wasn't pursued further. Visit the museum website to see screenshots and a video of the demo.

The answer to the trailer is coming soon...still. I'm trying to get permission to post pictures. I have sent two emails and no response. One more email with no response and it's going up anyhow. There's also two others in the queue to go up as well.
